He was awarded by the European School of Haematology (ESH) for presenting his PhD project “Harnessing Memory Stem T Cells for Cancer Immunotherapy”. The selection committee was composed of prominent figures in the field, including conference chairs Chiara Bonini, Michael Hudecek and Stanley Riddell.

Gabriele Inchingolo is pursuing his PhD in the Division Functional Immune Cell Modulation under the mentorship of Professor Luca Gattinoni. Gabriele graduated from the University of Bari in Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine with honors. His research focuses on immuno-oncology and lymphocyte biology, with a particular interest in T cell exhaustion, differentiation, memory formation, and T-cell engineering for cancer immunotherapy. At the conference, Gabriele presented key findings from his current project, which involves the immunomonitoring of a Phase I clinical trial of anti-CD19 CAR TSCM cells for the treatment of patients with advanced B-cell malignancies.
