Her stay began with an intensive one-week language and cultural preparation course, which not only enhanced her English proficiency but also offered meaningful insights into Irish customs, lifestyle, and workplace practices—laying a perfect foundation for her upcoming internship.

During the following two weeks, Desireé worked at a prominent Dublin law firm, gaining firsthand experience in daily operations, client interactions, and the distinct legal procedures that differentiate the Irish system from Germany’s. Navigating professional challenges in English every day proved both demanding and rewarding, allowing her to confidently apply and sharpen her language skills in a real-world setting.

The Erasmus+ program is dedicated to empowering young people to broaden their horizons, discover diverse work environments, and develop their professional competencies within a new cultural context.

For Desireé, this journey was an invaluable step forward, enriching her career path as well as her personal growth. She recently successfully completed her apprenticeship. The LIT congratulates and is pleased that she will continue to be a part of the LIT administration team.
