LIT Scientists Participate at RIGeL Summer School 2025

PhD students from the Leibniz Institute for Immunotherapy (LIT) took part in the Summer School organized by the Regensburg International Graduate School of Life Sciences (RIGeL). Meghma Mukherjee has received the Best Poster Award, while Fabian Hölzl has been awarded the Best Questioner Prize. Dr. Christian Schmidl contributed as a guest lecturer at the event.

Four PhD students from the Leibniz Institute for Immunotherapy (LIT) took part in this year’s RIGeL Summer School, organized by the Regensburg International Graduate School of Life Sciences (RIGeL). The event, held in Ensdorf from June 26th to 27th, 2025, brought together 35 doctoral candidates from the field of Life Sciences at the University of Regensburg for two days filled with scientific exchange, discussions, and networking opportunities. The dynamic program included scientific talks, poster sessions, and a canoeing trip that fostered informal interaction and team spirit among participants.

Meghma Mukherjee, a PhD student from the Research Division “Interventional Immunology”, has been honored with the Best Poster Award for her work on tumor-intrinsic immune resistance in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Fabian Hölzl, a PhD student at the “NGS and Data Technologies Core Facility”, has received the Best Questioner Prize. The LIT congratulates both on their success.

Christian Schmidl, Head of Research Group “Epigenetic Immuno-oncology” at the LIT, was invited as a guest lecturer. Dr. Schmidl’s talk offered insights into the challenges and rewards of life as a young group leader in academia.
