Immunomedicine is a topic that has recently gained great coverage and interest within the medical community and even beyond. Within this field, “Smart Cells” are considered as a generational breakthrough to transform future therapies.
“Smart cells” is the term that has been adopted by the international scientific community to describe the use of synthetic biology to transform ordinary immune cells into living (“intelligent”) drugs for the treatment of yet incurable diseases, such as cancer, inflammation, and autoimmune disorders.
The scope of the symposium will cover state-of-the-art ways to reprogram immune cells, using innovative signaling circuits, sensory systems, and transduction methodologies. We will also discuss the latest developments in the clinical application of engineered T cells and bench-to-bedside strategies for disseminating research.
Considering the growing interest and remarkable progress in Smart Cells, the LIT would like to invite you and other esteemed colleagues to join us for our Smart Cell Symposium.
