The “Leibniz Health & Prevention” (LHP) initiative brings together research on disease prevention, precision diagnostics, modern analytical technologies, and intelligent therapeutics. The goal is to bring together complementary areas of expertise, accelerate the translation of research into practical applications, and develop innovative solutions for the health challenges of the future. Through this initiative, the Leibniz Association is pooling its interdisciplinary expertise in the fields of health research, prevention, and early detection to develop innovative solutions for the health challenges of our time and to strengthen the transfer of scientific findings into practice.
The initiative thus contributes to the goals of Germany’s High-Tech Agenda, particularly in the areas of data-driven innovation, accelerated translation, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence. At the same time, it strengthens Germany’s technological and digital sovereignty.
