Prof. Philipp Beckhove Kicked off Regensburg Tourism Event in Berlin with Traditional Beer Keg Tapping
From June 27 to 29, 2025, the City of Regensburg captivated visitors at Berlin's Wittenbergplatz with a colorful program. Prof. Philipp Beckhove, Scientific Director of the Leibniz Institute for Immunotherapy (LIT), joined Peter Aumer, member of the German Bundestag, for the ceremonial opening.

Regensburg Tourismus GmbH, UNESCO World Heritage Sites e.V. and other tourism stakeholders created a taste of Bavaria in Berlin and promoted Regensburg as a tourist destination. Prof. Philipp Beckhove was invited by Peter Aumer, CSU politician and Bundestag representative for Regensburg, to emphasize the city’s significance as a research hub.
Accompanied by the traditional Bavarian music band “Laabertaler”, Prof. Beckhove kicked off the festival with the traditional tapping of the beer barrel.
