RCI Scientist receives the Humboldt Research Fellowship

RCI scientist, Mario Lecce, PhD, has received the prestigious Humboldt Research Fellowship, which addresses and supports post-doctoral researchers with outstanding qualifications.

“The Humboldt Research Fellowship represents an important recognition of my work and of that of my fellow team members, under the mentorship of Luca Gattinoni. This award gives me the opportunity to continue pursuing my research goals here at the RCI, in the field of Cancer Immunotherapy”, says Mario Lecce.

 

Since 1953, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation offers a variety of prestigious awards each year, to sponsor researchers and scholars from more than 140 countries to do research in Germany. Through its large number of different annual awards, the foundation focuses on fostering research and cultural diversity. The foundation is committed to international understanding and intercultural exchange, scientific advancement, and development.
